Grilled Banana S’more Split

The weather is going to be beautiful this weekend so what better way to celebrate with a sweet twist on a summer classic! We were inspired by a delicious sounding recipe for Grilled Banana S'mores and thought, we’d kick it up a notch by combining two summer favorites: banana splits and s’mores! What we ended up with were these delicious Grilled Banana S'more Splits. Here’s how to make your own:

What you’ll need
  • Bananas
  • Aluminum Foil
  • Chocolate Bar
  • Vanilla Ice Cream (or double the s'mores with our Gimmi S'more Moo ice cream)
  • Strawberry Ice Cream
  • Chocolate Ice Cream
  • Marshmallows
  • Graham cracker crumbs
  • Cherry
  • Strawberry Syrup
  • crushed pineapple(optional topping)

Steps
  • With a knife cut a small strip down the banana peel lengthwise. When you carefully open it up it should look almost like a boat.
  • Stuff the banana with tiny marshmallows and chocolate pieces then sprinkle in the graham cracker pieces. You can slice the banana in inches to make more room but be careful not to cut through the peel.
  • Once your banana is stuffed, cover the bottom completely in foil.
  • Place on closed grill for about 5 minutes or until warm.
  • Remove from heat and top with your favorite ice cream (We recommended the traditional flavors of the banana split.)
  • Then add some strawberry syrup and a cherry on top!
Banana S'more Splits are also a great treat for bonfires! If you have your own favorite summer dessert recipe, feel free to share it with us. If you need ice cream supplies, check out our store finder to find Cold Cow products near you!

3 Mother’s Day Ideas Better Than Flowers

Let’s face it, moms all over the world work hard everyday. Mothers hold a special place in our hearts, so instead of the typical flower bouquet gift try something more creative this year. Show mom how much you love her with one of these fun Mother's Day ideas.

Take Mom Out for an Ice Cream Cone

Ice cream may be the sweet treat that brings you together but this Mother’s Day going out for a stroll and spending some quality time with your mother will be the sweetest gift of all. The ice cream is just a bonus!

Personalize Your Gifts

Make your gifts personal and show your mom that you gave it a lot of thought. If your mom loves ice cream as much as we do, then try surprising her with a personalized ice cream spoon or silverware set. You can customize an engraving to your mom or choose a funny or heart felt engraving like this, "I love you to the moon and back" ice cream spoon from The Loose Goose shop on Etsy.

Make Mom Dessert

Making mom some dessert is a fun twist on the classic “breakfast in bed” gift. Build and share a banana split while you watch your favorite movie or just sit and chat about old memories and create some new ones.

No matter you do or give your mom on Mother's Day, it is important to show how much you love and appreciate her! If you have your own creative ideas on what to do for Mother's Day, feel free to share them below!
