Let's Send Some Love To Amber

We have been sitting on some Carnegie Science Center tickets for a while now, and we are happy to say a few just found a home with Amber Mardis! Amber, a 10-year old Johnstown, PA, is a medal winning figure skater and recently underwent surgery on her brain after she was diagnosed with a grade 4 brain tumor. Amber is currently undergoing six weeks of chemotherapy and radiation at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, approximately 75 miles from her home.  We learned about Amber's love for science and wanted to give her something that shows that the community around her is rooting for her. Hats off to Amber!

There are some fundraisers coming up where you can help Amber, the soonest being on August 25th and the second on September 16th. On the 25th, There will be a basket party and band fundraiser for Amber at Chillies Pub (900 Bedford St. Johnstown,PA.)  Any donations, baskets or just showing up will be greatly appreciated. There will be live bands, DJ's, food and entertainment all day from 1 PM until approximately 12 AM.

Let's continue being the kind of community that helps one another out!

You can send Amber cards of well wishes, care packages or anything in between and help her:

Creative Ways to Serve Ice Cream

If you are planning a last minute desert for a dinner party and are low on ideas, we've got you covered! Reach for your favorite flavor of Cold Cow Ice Cream and get to work! Here are 4 great and interesting ways to service ice cream to your guest and start conversations.

1. Brownie Cups
When most people service brownies with ice cream, they shove both on a plate and leave it at that. Take it to the next level by shaping your brownies into little cups and fitting the ice cream on top. Not only does this look unique and delicious, but as the ice cream melts it sinks into the brownie. Less clean up!

2. Cupcake Scoops
That's right, scoop your Cold Cow Ice Cream directly into cupcake liners. This makes it easier to dish out to a large crowd without having to worry about plates!

3. Wafer Towers
Make several ice cream sandwiches with wafers as the bread, and wait for the compliments. Make sure to pair wafer flavors with the right ice cream!

4. Ice Cream Food
Get creative and make your ice cream look like food! Take this ice cream pizza for example: all you need is imagination!
