Pick up some Cold Cow Ice Cream, and get creative with tasty cake recipes!

Ingredients

·         1 (18 ounce) package small chocolate chip cookies

·         1/4 cup margarine, melted

·         1 cup hot fudge topping

·         2 quarts vanilla ice cream

·         1 cup whipped cream

·         12 cherries

Directions

1.   Crush half the cookies (about 20) to make crumbs. Combine crumbs with melted margarine and press into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan or pie plate. Stand remaining cookies around edge of pan. Spread 3/4 cup fudge topping over crust. Freeze 15 minutes.

2.   Meanwhile, soften 1 quart of ice cream in microwave or on countertop. After crust has chilled, spread softened ice cream over fudge layer. Freeze 30 minutes.

3.   Scoop remaining quart of ice cream into balls and arrange over spread ice cream layer. Freeze until firm, 4 hours or overnight. To serve, garnish with remainder of fudge topping, whipped cream and cherries.

Good Taste! Pittsburgh will be held on Saturday, November 5th from 9 am to 5 pm at the Monroeville Convention Center.

GoodTaste! Pittsburgh showcases food as entertainment and the kitchen as theater in a one-day foodie and lifestyle fest that promotes the region. Featuring national and local chefs, cookbook authors,workshops, food and wine sampling, local restaurants, product sales and more!

Cold Cow will be on hand to fill your belly with ice cream. General admission tickets are $15 at the door and $10 if ordered online. Join Cold Cow for the Freaky 5K Halloween Run this Saturday!

The Freaky 5K Halloween Run is this Saturday at North Park in Allison Park at 10am. Cold Cow will be there handing out ice cream samples! After the run, stay for the Freaky Family-Friendly Halloween Party at the North Park Ice Rink. Best costume awards will be given as well as awards for the fastest male and female runners by age category for each race. Hope to see you there!
